GENINOV participates in the first symposium held in Haiti on the management of public hospitals

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Public Health and Population, on June 21 and 22, the first symposium on the management of public hospitals in Haiti was held at the Hôtel Montana, Pétion-Ville. Technical and financial support from the International Health Unit of the Center Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (USI) and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).

In addition to the main terms of governance, financial resources management, human resources management and training, the challenges presented by the maintenance of hospital buildings and biomedical equipment were discussed and discussed. At the invitation of the USI, the presence of our head of the mechanical department, in this case the engineer Pierre-Klébert Charles who has a long experience in this field, was greatly appreciated.

A graduate in engineering from the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi and before joining the GENINOV group, Mr. Charles worked for 27 years in the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services as a coordinator of material resources dealing with Management of buildings and construction projects affecting facilities located in Montérégie (South of Montréal). Under his responsibility, a number of major projects were carried out at Charles LeMoyne Hospital, Greenfield Park, including: a dialysis center, a birth center, the relocation of the intensive care unit, the renovation of the laundry room And food services, the trauma center, the cancer center, the upgrading of mechanical systems as well as electrical production and distribution, major works on the architectural envelope, and so on.
